In the coming months, Parker Strategic Land (PSL) will be consulting on its plans for the development of Tower Farm.
You can use this website to sign up for updates from the PSL project team. PSL's vision is to create a new neighbourhood that delivers significant benefits for both new and existing residents, while improving access to green open spaces and protecting neighbouring Weston Big Wood.
North Somerset Council (NSC) has allocated Tower Farm for up to 400 new homes in its draft Local Plan. NSC recently held a Regulation 19 public consultation on the draft Local Plan and will consider the responses before submitting the Plan to Government for examination. PSL is preparing a fully-evidenced outline planning application to support examination of the NSC Local Plan.

PSL will share more information with the local community and other interested stakeholders as part of a pre-application public consultation on the proposals. This will allow us to hear and respond to local feedback, which will be used to inform and shape the Tower Farm masterplan before we submit an outline planning application.
PSL submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment screening opinion to NSC in February 2026 to agree how much information needs to be submitted as part of the application.
The project team firmly believes the development will provide significant benefits for Portishead and North Somerset, including improvements to education provision and facilities, expansion of Merlin Park, new public open spaces and landmarks with views across the Gordano Valley, and much-needed family and affordable housing.
